A Year of Us was born from a deeply personal journey. In 2019, a toxic relationship shook me to my core, leading to anxiety attacks and sleepless nights. When the relationship ended, I realized that I had been complicit in its failure. I had no idea what a healthy relationship required—no concept of boundaries or effective trust-building.

Through therapy and self-reflection, I began the difficult process of unlearning my conditioning and rebuilding my sense of self. When I met my husband, I knew exactly what I wanted: a relationship built on authenticity, mutual respect, continued growth, and true connection. The stark contrast of my relationships led to the creation of our flagship couple card game in 2022, and since then, we've supported couples from more than 15 countries in building healthier relationships.

But A Year of Us isn’t just about couples. "Us" represents any relationship you intentionally cultivate — a relationship with a partner, a friend, a parent, or most importantly: the relationship with yourself. 

We believe that the foundation of a fulfilled life starts with understanding and nurturing these connections. Our goal is to support you in various aspects of your life with tools that make personal growth both accessible and meaningful.
